sterling silver coffee pot.
Bearing dual period engraved family crests
and
Duke of Wellington motto
“Fortune favors the bold”.
Richly carved spread wing eagles atop
raised leaf and floral.
Well cast
Old Man of the Forest
spout.
Hallmarks rubbed, as shown,
possibly Britannia (95.8% pure) standard.
This rare George III sterling eagle & mask spout coffee pot 11 inches
tall and weighs just under 39 standard ounces.
In good condition.
Rich sterling patina.
Retains much of the original hand carved detail.
Handle secure, cover closes flush.
