Presented is a lovely Gorham sterling silver water pitcher. The pitcher is done in a beautiful classical English style, with a rounded balustroid body and a scrolled handle. The rim is decorated with a gadrooned design. The pitcher is well made from thick, heavy gauge sterling silver, with a nice feeling of weight and quality. The pitcher is spotlessly clean inside and out, like the day it was made.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside of the piece is stamped ‘sterling’ and with the maker’s mark for Gorham, as well as the number 81 and the capacity of 4 1/2 pints (72 fluid ounces/2.1 liters).
The pitcher stands about 8 1/8 inches tall.
